Thursday, October 17th
Nobody can blame you if you want to start your weekend tonight! Our Thursday Specials page has a slew of Happy Hours and deals to choose from tonight like 1/3rd off small plates & 1/2 off Martinis and Mojitos at Firefly and $2.50 Tacos and Mexican Beers at Union Cantina.
There’s also October TC Green Drinks at The Little Fleet. Green Drinks is held on the third Thursday of every month at a different location in Traverse City. It’s always free (except for the eats & drinks of course) and always stimulating. Check out TC’s new Food Truck hub and enjoy $1 off wine & $2 off wine as you meet and chat with green-minded individuals about a greener, cleaner Traverse City!
Friday, October 18th
Aerie Restaurant Bell’s Beer Dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. in Aerie atop the Grand Traverse Resort. Four of their talented chefs were tasked with preparing their own dinner course using one of Bell’s delicious brews. $49 per person. To reserve your spot, call 231-534-6800.
The Discerning Dozen Cocktail Hour at Trattoria Stella from 4:30 – 6:30 PM features samples of 12 expertly prepared cocktails made with Journeyman Distillery spirits. Cost is $35 and space is limited – call Stella at 231-929-8989 for details and to reserve you spot!
Cocktail lovers get another shot at Journeyman at the Short’s and Journeyman Mixology 2.0 event from 7-11 PM at InsideOut Gallery/Outre Lounge. The highlight is an 8 PM panel discussion panel discussion with Jon Wojtowicz (Shorts), Simon Barrios (Journeyman), Mike Curths (InsideOut), George Nementz (Mahoney’s Liquor Store) and moderator Jon Ingham (Veritas Distributors). The evening also features a stellar selection of brew from Shorts & spirits from Journeyman and music from indie/fusion band The Weather.
You can start the screams this weekend (Oct 18 & 19) at the Black Star Farms Haunted Hayride from 7-9:30 PM at Black Star Farms in Suttons Bay. Next weekend too! Rides are $10, take about 15 minutes and you can purchase wine, hot cider and ghostly refreshments at the Hearth & Vine Cafe afterwards!
Northern Naturals Downtown Tasting Room hosts Blackbird Pie from 7-9 PM.
Saturday, October 19th
Right Brain Brewery celebrates one year at their new location at the SOFOrever Celebration starting at 1 PM and continuing through the night. Highlights of the all-ages event include indoor flea market provided by Goodwill Industries of Northern Michigan, Face Painting, behind the scenes brewery access, brewhouse games, specials at Salon Saloon and live music.
L. Mawby continues their Food Truck Saturdays with the Harbor 22 food truck serving lunch or a snack to pair with their sparklers.
Safe Passage Great Lakes Fiesta is a fabulous evening of fun and entertainment that starts at 5:30 Pm at the Children’s House and features Billy String & Don Julin. It benefits children and families living in the Guatemala City garbage dump community.
