National-Pie-Day

Weekend Roundup: National Pie Day Edition

National-Pie-DayJanuary 23rd is National Pie Day, and we at eatdrinkTC can certainly get behind any day  dedicated to pie! The good folks at the Grand Traverse Pie Company can get behind pie as well, offering a free slice of Michigan fruit pie with any purchase at all of their locations today!

Grand Traverse Pie Company founder Mike Busley says “Pie is meant for sharing. Pie connects people. Pie makes people happy. And happy people make the world a better place. That’s why the world needs more pie.”

Amen! The photo to the right was taken by Trish Petrat who celebrates pie day all year long!

Every Saturday it’s the Indoor Farm Market at the Village from 10 AM – 2 PM. We say it every week, but if you’re missing the market, you’re missing out on one of the best cabin fever reducers in Northern Michigan!

The days of one dish fits all party planning are gone, but thankfully Bryon Figueroa & Chateau Chantal have a cooking class helping you prepare meals and side dishes to accommodate health nuts, food allergies, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free palates! Just a couple of slots are left – call 1-800-969-4009 to reserve your space!

The Jeff Haas Faction is at InsideOut with a no cover show and some very cool jazz.

Sunday

Enjoy fine chamber music, delicious food and wines at the first Brengman Brothers Winery Chamber Music Series event with a trio of musicians filling the tasting room with sweet sounds. Call the winery to reserve (231) 946-2764.

Next Week!
