Sugar SkullThe Little Fleet Halloween Dance Party takes place tonight (Oct 31) at The Little Fleet and features DJs Heady & Acupunk, Halloween inspired cocktails and a cash prize for best costume!

There’s also a  Halloween Costume Contest at Union Street Station with a $300 prize for best costume and Blackbird Pie will be bringing their Bluegrass Folk to the Northern Natural Cider House, costumes optional. We will be serving up Grocers Daughter COCO Rims with your choice of Cider or Wine.

The French film Haute Cuisine (2013 / PG-13) opens Friday, November 1 at 6 PM at the State Theatre. Hortense Laborie (Catherine Frot), a renowned chef from Perigord, is astonished when the President of the Republic (Jean d’Ormesson) appoints her his personal cook, responsible for creating all his meals at the Elysée Palace.

North Peak’s Michigan vs. Michigan State Tailgate Party takes place on Saturday starting at 2 PM. They’ll have the game on a 70″ screen on their deck and will be cooking up some hot dogs and chili which you can wash down with cold delicious beer!

If your tastes run to the massive screen, the State Theatre invites you watch the game on the biggest screen in northern Michigan! It’s free!
