Weekend Roundup: A weekend packed full of fun!

Deer Hunting season opens tomorrow. In addition to meaning that about a quarter of Traverse City’s population will magically disappear for the weekend or longer, it also means that you’ll need to be very careful when venturing into the woods and wilds for the next 2 weeks. Read on for our weekend suggestions and get the complete list on the EatdrinkTC Calendar.

TC Beer week ends on Friday but there’s a lot left to enjoy over the next two days!

Thursday

Free tasting bonanza today! Stone Brewing Company at the Beverage Company 2-4, Short’s tasting at Mahoney’s from 4-6 PM and Saugatuck Brewery tasting at The Beverage Company from 5-7 PM.

Josh Davis & Joe Wilson (of Steppin’In It fame) will begin their weekly shows at Workshop Brewing Company from 7-10 PM.

Friday

Is the last day of Traverse City Beer Week. Check out our guide to the last 3 days of beer week to see what’s left. Some highlights are a chance to Kill the Casks at Little Fleet and Beer & Soup at Brew.

Charles Marowitz’s The Shrew will be at InsideOut Gallery 7pm. The Shrew is a dark and exacting investigation of gender roles in modern society. This adaptation cuts, splices and reorganizes the well-known romantic comedy, The Taming of the Shrew, into a chilling examination of how- playing the games they have been taught by society- men and women gradually corrode the human tissue that keeps them together.

Following the Shrew Medicinal Groove will perform at InsideOut 9pm.

Blackbird Pie live at Northern Naturals. Stop in for dinner and get a live band from 7-9. Organic wines and cider on tap.

Join AIGA West Michigan at The Workshop Brewing Company for the next No Agenda. In celebration of Traverse City Beer Week we’re gathering designers, developers, photographers, writers and entrepreneurs for a fun, casual evening of networking and drinks. Members and non-members alike can mix it up with other people in the community, and the first beer’s on us. 5pm Tickets are free, but be sure to register at: http://noagendatc.eventbrite.com/! After the No Agenda gathering stay for the True Falsettos from 9-11.

Saturday

Start your day with the Traverse City’s Indoor Farmers Market. 10-2 with the weather turning cold harvest season is coming to a close. Get stocked up on fresh local produce.
