Our eatdrinkTC calendar is always packed with great events and this weekend is no exception! Read on for information about three highlighted events: Blossom Day at the Old Mission Wineries, the Food Truck Launch Party at The Little Fleet and the Empire Asparagus Festival!
The winemakers of Old Mission swing open their cellar doors this Saturday (May 17) and invite you to sample their yet-to-be-released wines. You’ll meet the winemakers themselves and taste their future offerings right from the barrel (or tank). Barrel and reserve wines are showcased in addition to each winery’s standard tasting list. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 the day of the event (while supplies last). The ticket price includes a souvenir glass and special Blossom Day tastes at all eight wineries.
If you’d like to make a full day of it, follow up with the 2896 Vertical Dinner at Bowers Harbor Vineyards tasting room – four courses prepared by The Boathouse and expertly paired with Bowers’ wines including 3 vintages of their signature 2898 red wine with the main course of Black Angus Filet Mignon! Read our eatdrinkTC feature on the wine and the dinner.
You can also do a wine dinner with Hawthorne Vineyards on Friday night.
