Culinary gift cards can be the most creative gift you give

As we look forward to the holidays, we are often reminded of how full of things our home already is. Although some shy away from gift cards because they feel cards & certificates are too impersonal or show the dollar value they’ve placed on their gift, many prefer to receive experiences over things. Give your loved one the opportunity to experience Traverse City’s culinary scene in ways they might never do on their own!

gift certificateCSA Share

This truly is the gift that keeps on giving. Our first Christmas together I gave Andy a winter CSA share to 9 Bean Rows. 9 Bean Rows was the only CSA I could find with winter shares. Birch Point Farm offers winter shares that allow you to select your items every week and get members pricing. Summer CSA shares can make a wonderful Christmas gift too.

On the fresh food front, almost all of the farmers at the Village Farmers Market have gift certificates available. When you give someone a gift certificate for fresh local produce from the farm market you’re also giving them the experience of going to the market to select their food and experience all of the produce Northern Michigan farmers are providing all winter long! I have checked with several farms to make sure they will have gift certificates. Second Spring Farm, Birch  Point Farm and Loma Farm are sure to be stocked with gift certificates.

Pairing Dinners
