Beer and Food Pairing Dinners for Traverse City Beer Week

To celebrate Traverse City’s first annual Beer Week (November 9-15, 2013), several restaurants have created beer dinners. Beer and Food pairings to make your heart sing. These events will sell out fast, so get your reservations right away.

Saturday (Nov 9)

Hangover Breakfast at The Towne Plaza  9-3
This a la carte breakfast includes your meal and beer pairings, presented by the people of Greenbush Brewery.  For once, enjoy the headache of your hangover, as you have a little hair of the dog! Prices are a la carte, and based on consumption. Reservations are strongly recommended but not required. 231-929-0900

Sunday (Nov 10)

7 Beer Pairing at Workshop Brewing Company  6pm-8pm
A paired dinner, guided by Matt (chef) and/or Pete (founder). Sample-sized versions of each of our seven One-Hander sandwiches served in succession, each paired with a 6oz serving of the corresponding Journeyman beer. Price is $40/person. This event is limited and will sell out.  Call early for reservations, 231.421.8977.

Wednesday  (Nov 13)

OMGWTFBBQBeer and BBQ at Poppycock’s  6pm-8:30pm
A pairing of everyone’s favorite things: beer and BBQ with Atwater beers on tap! Pricing will be by the pairing, but purchases can be made a la carte. Try out some great BBQ flavors paired with beer! (231) 941-7632

Food Truck Dinner w/Shorts Brewery  Company 7:30pm
5 Food Trucks, 5 Courses, 5 Beers! Roaming Harvest, Anchor Station, Pigs Eating Ribs, Harbor on the Side, and EZ Cheesy will each create a special course to be paired with a Shorts beer.   Beers include rare releases such as the Village Reserve, the Funkin’ Pumpkin’, and the OMGWTFBBQ which is a BBQ themed beer brewed with tomatoes, brown sugar, molasses, smoked hops, cayenne, chili powder, mustard seed, and paprika. Wow!

Thursday (Nov 14)

Beer Dinner at 7 Monks  3-midnight
This is a unique beer dinner—not done with a set start time.  Bring your own group, and have a beer dinner on your timeline.  There will be a fixed menu of pairings with 7 Monks food selections—maybe even some special things you’ve not seen before, and prices are based on consumption.  Join in the fun!

Friday (Nov 15)Brewery Vivant Belgian Ales

Brewery Vivant, Roaming Harvest and The Cooks House Beer Dinner at Little Fleet 7:30pm
This is a collaboration between three of The Little Fleet’s favorites! Brewery Vivant from Grand Rapids will be headed up to Northern Michigan to join a paired dinner prepared by  the Cooks’ House (Little Fleet’s fabulous East Front Street neighbors) and the man responsible for bringing food trucks to Traverse City: Simon of Roaming Harvest. Rare beers include St. Peppercorns, a Belgian Pale Ale made with peppercorns, and Love Shadow, a Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Belgian Stout that’s been aged for over a year.
4 Beers.  4 Courses.  $55/person.
